About
What Fixitorium is
A community for makers and tinkerers. Some people here build furniture, forge knives, cast aluminum, cut signs on a laser or convert bikes to electric. Some rescue broken appliances. Most do a bit of everything. Not professionals, not influencers, just people who look at a pile of parts, a broken thing or a boring thing and wonder what they could make of it.
Three rooms, one workbench
- Posts: videos, photo sets, write-ups and links. Upload your own or paste a YouTube or Vimeo link, and the post gets sorted into a category automatically from what you wrote. Vote, comment, save.
- Forum: boards for asking for help, showing off, and arguing about tools. Mark the reply that solved your problem and the helper earns karma.
- Marketplace: things makers built, restored or printed themselves. Buy with a card or crypto, or propose a trade.
How escrow works
- You check out and choose a coin. The order shows a deposit address, an exact amount and a reference code.
- You send the coins and paste the transaction id. The deposit is confirmed on-chain (or by staff) and the order becomes funded. The seller never sees the money yet.
- The seller ships and adds tracking.
- When the item arrives, you press Received in good condition. Only then is the payment released to the seller's wallet. If it does not arrive or arrives broken, open a dispute and a moderator decides whether to release or refund.
- If you do nothing for a set number of days after delivery, the funds release automatically so sellers are not left hanging.
Coins and fees
Escrow accepts the major coins: BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, XRP, BNB, SOL, DOGE, ADA, TRX, AVAX, LINK, LTC, BCH, DOT, POL, XLM and XMR, each on the network shown at checkout. The escrow wallets belong to the site owner; Fixitorium holds no keys for anyone else's funds. Every transaction carries a fee: a small buyer-side percentage added at checkout, a seller-side percentage taken from the payout, and a flat per-party fee on item-for-item trades. Current rates are shown on every checkout and order page.
Credit where it is due
Many starter posts link to or embed videos and guides from creators around the web: ChrisFix, This Old House, iFixit, HowToWith GEO and many more. We embed, we do not copy. Views and credit go to the original creator, and every post shows its source.
